Mr. Carter was appointed President of Global Operations in 2008 and acquired responsibilities for Global Development for the company in 2010. Prior to his post, he was Chief Executive Officer of Hilton International, a position he held since 2005.

Andrew took on responsibility for the Middle East and Asia Pacific Hilton Development team in January 2004. This followed several years in senior financial, sales and marketing roles covering Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. Based in Singapore, he has grown the region’s team to its current strength of almost 30 development directors, managers and administration support personnel.
Andrew devotes most of his leisure time to his young family, and indulging his passion for travel and music. He is also a mountain biker and runner.

Prior to joining Hilton Worldwide, Elly Yuyu Zhou worked as a consultant in Shanghai where she was responsible for undertaking feasibility and financial evaluations for hotel projects across China. Fluent in English, French, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hakka, Elly has spent time living in France where she worked at the Trianon Palace Versailles, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel, as well as holding a number of marketing, e-commerce and analytical positions for Moulin Rouge, Travel Avenue SAS and China Tour. She holds a Masters from the Universite Paris III Sorbonne and a MBA in International Hospitality Management from ESSEC Business School.

In addition to sourcing deals for the Asia Pacific Development team, Jinjie provides her colleagues with market research insights and marketing support, including arranging Hilton Worldwide’s presence at key trade shows in the region.

With an MBA from IMHI-ESSEC in Paris, where she specialised in real estate, luxury hotels and brand management, Ivy also has extensive experience in hotel management, particularly in the start-up and pre-launch phases.
In her leisure time, when not travelling to new and exciting destinations across the globe, Ivy enjoys swimming, badminton and yoga, as well as quiet relaxation with books and movies.

Komal joined the Hilton Development Team in June 2010 to help grow the Hilton Worldwide portfolio of brands throughout India. Before this, Komal spent six years as a hotel consultant developing her deep knowledge of the hotel sector in the sub-continent. Since earning a higher diploma in hotel management from Les Roches International School of Hotel Management, Komal has worked in hotel development with leading international brands in the USA and Europe. Komal is a voracious reader. She relaxes with a daily yoga session and plans to extend her already extensive travel experience to locations "off the beaten track".

Jacob joined the Hilton Development Team in May 2012 to help grow the Hilton Worldwide portfolio of brands throughout India. Before this, Jacob was part of the Business Development Team at SilverNeedle Hospitality, prior to which he led Molinaro Koger's brokerage and advisory practice in India, helping him develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of the hotel sector in India. A qualified Architect, Jacob holds an MBA in marketing & finance from Iowa State University, USA. Jacob is a voracious reader and hopes to someday publish a book profiling the Western Coast of India.

Akash is an integral part of the Hilton Worldwide Development team in India, which he joined in January 2011. After gaining his MBA from ESSEC Business School in Paris, where he specialised in hospitality and real estate finance, Akash spent two years in the Middle East. There he worked for a global hotels & leisure consulting brand, working extensively throughout the region on capital markets advisory projects for the hotels sector.
A keen tennis player and voracious reader, Akash loves travel and devotes most of his leisure time to backpacking.

Hirohisa Fujimoto

The first member of the Hilton Development team to be based in Japan, Hirohisa’s hotel background covers operations, development and investment throughout Asia. Now focusing on expanding the Hilton portfolio of hotel brands in the region, he took up his current role in January 2009.
A keen sportsman, Hirohisa enjoys playing tennis and golf, and when near the ocean likes nothing more than to go scuba diving. He also loves to travel and unwind with a good historical novel.

A former marketing director with pan-European brand experience, Alan joined the Hilton Development team in 2005 to build the Hilton portfolio of hotel brands throughout Southern Europe and Africa. Based in Rome, Alan’s focus is on the Italian market, developing long-term relationships with developers, investors and partners in the region.
In his spare time, Alan hugely enjoys traveling with his family, and in particular exploring new destinations with his young son. In between trips, he also enjoys the occasional game of golf.
